Hello Everybody,
On Saturday April 14th I rode the full Princeton 200k route, which means I also rode the Princeton 120K, which shares the first and last legs of the 200k. Temperatures at 7:39 a.m. when I started were in the high 40s and it was one of those days that was hard to dress for. By the time I rolled back into Princeton Forrestal Village at 6:14 p.m., it was in the low 70s.
Due in part perhaps to the mild winter, the roads are in very good shape. But that doesn't mean there aren't a few big potholes here and there. Watch out especially for the more hilly sections and the last segment of Horseshoe Bend Road, just a couple of miles before the Frenchtown control. Traffic on the whole was pretty light, but there are a few sections of the course that are busy, particularly the Flemington area on the last leg.
Let's hope for a nice sunny day again on Saturday.
