Nine riders regroup at the top of the Tunnel Road climb, the fourth of the four big climbs on the Practice Ride held under mostly sunny skies on April 5, 2008. Despite a gloomy forecast, more than 20 riders showed up in Frenchtown to ride the middle 54-mile section of the Princeton 200k, scheduled for April 19, 2008.

NYC 177K Populaire Closes Out 2008 Season on Sunday, October 12th

Starting at 7 a.m. from the George Washington Bridge bus station in Manhattan, the NYC Populaire is an excellent choice for those interested in trying a brevet for the first time. Slightly longer than a century at 110 miles, and traversing a highly scenic route that crosses the GW Bridge into Bergen County, N.J., then heads north of the NY border to Greenwood Lake and Harriman State Forest, this is a challenging ride. But it is a good 15 miles shorter than the typical entry-level 200k brevet. The cutoff time is 6:48 p.m. As always, lights and reflective gear are required.
