Frenchtown Practice ride

Apologies to those who have already made plans for March 9th, I got mixed up with the 9am start and the day of the ride. The practice ride is a fun ride without the pressure of having to complete it within a certain time period. Adamic Hill Road is a sweet little thing that will have you huffing and puffing by the time you reach the top. This section is the hilly section of the 200k. Highly recommended.

Sat. March 9th, 2012 - Frenchtown 70k Practice Ride Starting at 9:00 AM from the Citgo Parking Lot at the corner of Race Street and Route 12 in Frenchtown. This is the 70k middle loop of the Princeton 200k. It includes the very steep climb of Adamic Hill Road. A good way to gauge your fitness for the early randonneuring season. Jud will be leading an A-B ride. We are looking for a volunteer to lead a C ride. Unsupported. No charge. This is not an officially sanctioned brevet, check the message board for additional details. Sun. April 1st, 2012 - Cranbury 200k Leaving from the Cranbury Municipal Parking Lot, entrance is one block west of the former PNC Bank parking lot on Main Street. Start 7:00 a.m. Flat terrain with one notable climb and strong chance of headwinds. Unsupported. Fee $15. Excellent choice for new brevet riders. Sat. April 21st, 2012 - Princeton 200k Leaving from the Forrestal Village Center parking lot in Plainsboro, N.J. Start: 7 a.m. Hilly terrain with multiple climbs. Supported: Double controle at Frenchtown American Legion Hall. Fee $35 Sat. April 21st, 2012 - Princeton Populaire 120k Leaving from Forrestal Village Center parking lot in Plainsboro, N.J. Start 7:00 a.m. Moderately hilly terrain that are mostly rollers. Supported: controle at Frenchtown American Legion Hall. Fee $20. Sat. May 12th, 2012 - Princeton 300k Leaving from Forrestal Village Center parking lot in Plainsboro, N.J. Start 4:00 a.m. Very hilly terrain with multiple extended climbs. Supported. Fee $35. Sat. May 26th, 2012 - Hightstown 400k Leaving from Days Inn at NJ Turnpike Exit 8 (Route 33) Flat terrain with headwinds. Start 4:00 a.m. Supported: Food service at Batsto outbound and return legs. Fee $35. Sat. June 9th, 2012 - Hightstown 600k Leaving from Days Inn at NJ Turnpike Exit 8 (Route 33) Flat terrain with headwinds, finishing up with moderately rolling terrain on second day. New start time! Start 4:00 a.m. Supported, overnight controle with bag drop service. Fee $90. Sat. July 21st, 2012 – Shore By Night 200k Leaving from the Cranbury Municipal Parking Lot, entrance is one block west of the former PNC Bank parking lot on Main Street. Start 10:00 p.m. Flat terrain with one notable climb, chance of headwinds. Unsupported. Fee $15. Excellent choice for new brevet riders looking for nighttime riding experience. Sat. Sept 8th, 2012 - NYC 200k Leaving from the George Washington Bridge Bus Terminal, Finishing in Fort Tyron Park, Manhattan. Start 7 a.m. Very hilly terrain with multiple extended climbs. Unsupported. Fee $15. Sun. Oct. 14th, 2012 - Central Jersey 200k (Ron Anderson Special) Leaving from Grover’s Mill Coffee House in the Southfield Shopping Center in Princeton Junction. Start 7:30 a.m. Flat terrain with chance of headwinds. Unsupported. Fee $15. Another excellent choice for new brevet riders to test their self-sufficiency.
