This Sunday, October 14th we are hosting the second annual Ron Anderson Special 200K. what makes it so special? you'll have to ride it to find out.
Active closes this evening so if you haven't registered go now before it is too late.
there are a few changes to the route this year as a result of ongoing construction projects in southern New Jersey. The route was tested last weekend, modifications were made and will be retested this Saturday. As always; although we do not anticipate additional changes the cue sheet given out at the start will be the route you are expected to ride (or will be forced to, given a major bridge that is no longer in existence).
The ride starts at 7:30 Am at the Grover's Mill Coffee House. Unfortunately it will not be open for the start but there is a gas station, a supermarket and a drug store within sight of the start line. I will be at the start line with the (2) two waivers for you to sign, copies of the final cue sheet and your brevet cards.
In accordance with RUSA rules you are expected to bring lighting (front and rear - check your batteries), reflective gear (vest or belt, and ankles) and a bike in good working order.
This ride is completely unsupported. You will be responsible to provide for yourself for the entire day, there will not be any volunteers on the course. In the event you need to abandon because you are unable to finish the ride, you will need to make your way home by your own means I will not be able to pick you up. Please be prepared.
At the finish there will be an envelope with a sign in sheet at the coffee shop. Please sign the back of your cards, sign in on the sign in sheet and put your cards in the envelope. Do not forget to sign the back of your cards!!! Although not necessary, I ask that you please at least purchase a coffee or tea from the Coffee House, they welcome us, we'd like to keep it that way. BTW the food is excellent, you won't be disappointed.
attached is the cue sheet;
and rider information;
If you are new to our style of riding, please read the "What to expect" document. It has some important information.
see you on Sunday!
PS rider list will be posted soon. Paul just got back from Peru so we haven't processed the Active's yet.
