Hello everybody:
For the eighth straight year, I will be leading a practice ride to help riders prepare for the Princeton 200k. This will leave from the parking lot of the Citgo gas station on Race Street & Route 12 in Frenchtown at 9 a.m. on Saturday March 20th. In the past several years we have had 20-30 people show up. I will be leading an A-B group. Laurent will lead a C group and Leroy will lead a D group. Cue sheets will be provided. Everybody can ride his/her own pace. This is the middle section of the actual 200k route. Roy and I scouted the route on March 6, 2010 and it looks like the roads are in good shape.
This is a great way to socialize with other local randonneurs and a good fitness test for the event three weeks later. Many local randonneurs have been introduced to brevets through this ride. It is as always a very scenic route and will include some challenging climbs (such as Adamic Hill Road). No need to pre-register. The event, unlike regular brevets, is free. Look forward to seeing many of you there. We will cancel only if the road conditions are dangerous due to ice or snow.
Jud
