I can't help myself when I see an event posted. I am seeking a team. Not very interested in being a team organizer in 2009, but I can be the "GPS guy" on a team.

I generally ride slow but steady. I've been riding monthly centuries and should ride Texas Hell Week (can take a passenger and bike), so my legs should be ready. I finished PBP in '07, DNFed the PA 1000 km at 600 km in '08, but then went on to complete the OH 1000 km 3 weeks later.

I am supposed to be running a club event in Pittsburgh this day. However, If I find a team, I can delegate that.

Hello Tom and fellow Randonneurs,

The past weekend was the most exciting randonneuring weekend of my randonneuring career so far. Riding a flèche was the most enjoyable experience. I have to thank Tom for organizing the event and Rick for planning the route and inviting me to be a member of Squadra Bricconi. I also have to thank Bill Fischer for the excellent company during the 400km we rode together. Squadra Bricconi added 40km to the end of the ride so that I could use it as a 400K qualifier for the upcoming Shenandoah 1200K. The only thing I missed was meeting the other flèche teams. That would have been nice. Maybe next time it will be worth coordinting the teams so that we all arrive at the same time.

In addition to the flèche, Rick and I did a volunteer pre-ride of the ACP 300K coming up on May 2. This was suggested by Tom as preparation for the 1200K. So after our 400K ride we did not have a lot of time to rest and started off pretty slow, but accelerated towards the end. Thanks Rick for joining me on this one.
